In hiding
We are aliens, impostures in this secluded and far away place
Under the radar, like ghosts; always careful to leave no trace
Like rats we pilfer, borrow, forage, recycle and raid the bins
Wanting to be together and so deeply in love are our only sins
Like the owl, we are nocturnal and like shadows we have become
The wild weather plagues us at night but to it, we shall not succumb
The barn it is our palace, our love nest and our shelter from the storm
