Night Anonymity

Oh how I love the night's sweet serenity
Peace and tranquillity that soothes...heals my soul
How sounds take on clarity; echoes...ticks...chimes
Every footstep more pronounced; clear...church bell tolls

How its velvet, ebony hues comfort
Shrouds me...affords me anonymity
Electric light and moonlight sparkle things anew
Self awareness felt intrinsically...
As the day ends...then begins...too soon

Bars (senryu)

with my memories
that the bars cannot contain
- love's fluidity

Lunacy

masked for protection
against air not fit to breathe
- lunacy prevails

Night Fantasy

Deep beneath the tranquil waters
there reflects a depth of stars
The ambient moon illuminates
the night's elusive promise
As the day's heat resonates
in my pulsating, throbbing veins;
constellations dance in moonlight,
merge, to depict your handsome face
Beckoning me into your arms,
coerced by the lake's cool breeze
The owl's primal, mesmerising call
envelops my wanton... needs

Primal Duet

Tonight they were both touched, clapped by wild thunder
Lightning relentlessly struck in their passion's wake
Riding together through the endless twilight fever
Intoxicated by the heather's sweet sensual scent
Enveloped in the mist's thick blanket, gifted from the loch

The mountains returned echoes of their love's primal duet
Their jewelled skin glistened, pooled in the moonlight
Electrified, their spirits transcending the physical realm
Time froze in that moment, lying beneath the majestic sky
Sweet surrender to ecstasy cascading through their souls

Tiger's Eye Sky

As she embarks upon the endless
amber hills of parched meadow grass
She feels protected beneath
the quartz crystal - tiger's eye sky

Like the distant gentle ferns meandering
exquisitely against the violet fells
The hardy, diaphanous dandelion seed
carried upon the mercy of the wayward breeze

She knows... that she too will survive.
