would you swathe me in stars?

Sorrow's Wrinkles
The sun gifts hope's light
to all that is possible
bleaches out the grey
irons out sorrow's wrinkles
from trials of yesterday

Magic
Magic
is...
within your
inner-child
within your
heart
and
your soul
Magic
is...
seeing
the positive
when life
takes
its

Songs Of Yesterday
Songs
of yesterday
resonate
within my heart
Conjuring
memories
of before
we were
apart...
Painting
in my
minds-eye
your body's
work... of art
Evoking
the taste
of you
Oh, such
torture
they...
impart

You and I
I collect words and memories, thread as coloured-glass beads upon chain
I drink moonlight and the sunset's elixir until I'm merry and mildly insane
I devour, with empathy, others' sorrow until my positive-hued thoughts imbrue
I see windows of broken rainbows in your eyes,
with no pots of gold... just blue
You only see the darkling encroach, a daemonic dragon disturbed from its lair
You abuse a vast spectrum of potent poisons, seeking out self-loathing and despair
You rip repeatedly with your toxic-tinged tongue, at the fragility of my being
You are the epitome of incompatibility but love's astral-balance depends not, upon seeing
We'll smelt our doubts and differences in the fireless forge of our bodies entwined
We'll taste, from the wounds of each other, until our star-traversed souls are aligned
We'll walk upon dreams, with caution, knowing duplicity's jeopardy may await
We'll carry each other's fears and frivolities until divine interfusion becomes fate

My Laird
Your strong
sensual voice
leaves my
judgement
impaired
I am caught...
in your land
of demonic dreams

Know
While you look in my eyes
Digging holes in my soul
It's my heart that escapes
...I just thought you should know

Eurovision
It's time to gather
around the set
To watch our act
the standard we set
We cross our fingers
and our toes
Who will win
nobody knows 😉

#PayItForward
So let's pay it forward so that others can eat
So let's pay it forward just by moving our feet
Let's take part in a marathon, a sponsored hike
Let us climb Ben Nevis or wherever you'd like
When you buy coffee, pay for another in lieu
That way someone less-fortunate will have one too
Just by letting a mother and toddler jump queue
You may gift her an hour's sleep, when there's been too few
So let's pay it forward so that children can learn
So let's pay it forward so they're able to earn
Let's bake a cake for a coffee morning or fair
Let's get a new summer look and donate our hair
As it can be that simple to help change a life
Of someone who's struggling amidst life's taxing strife
Easy to be apathetic when wealth is rife
But imagine suffering... your children, your wife
So let's pay it forward and show others we care
So let's pay it forward with our blessings let's share
Let's hold open the door, for those whom are in pain
Let's deem capabilities... we're not all the same
When we have some loose change, let's give it a good cause
Donate toys, clothes; become an all year Santa Claus
When we sieve our perceptions through judgemental gauze
We isolate the vulnerable, pass fascist laws
So let's pay it forward, enhance the human race
So let's pay it forward, let's light up someone's face
So let's pay it forward, let's acknowledge the need
So let's pay it forward let's not wallow in greed!

Lindisfarne
Oh, Lindisfarne with your coast so fair
I crave your breeze to flow through my hair
As you absolve all my worries and cares
Oh, Lindisfarne with your coast so fair
Oh, old Holy Isle a solace for so many
I offload my woes when they're feeling heavy
Gives me hope and peace when there isn't any
Oh, old Holy Isle a solace for so many
Oh, Lindisfarne with your brushstroke skies
Through your beauty I'm bequeathed new eyes
From my inauthentic life you cut all ties
Oh, Lindisfarne with your brushstroke skies
Oh, old Holy Isle you echo history
From your castle, cliffs and monastery
Through your whispered wisdom I am set free
Oh, old Holy Isle you echo history
Oh, dear Lindisfarne of sacred grace
No one's left bereft, feeling displaced
You envelope with love; I feel embraced
Oh, dear Lindisfarne of sacred grace

Beltane
Beltane, "Bright Fire" is here again
We've been set free from winter's chains
Now spring has conquered, light will reign
The darkness slain, the darkness slain
Sun radiates her healing heat
Decked homes with gay, May flowers sweet
We all give thanks, make merry, eat
On dancing feet, on dancing feet
In times of old, a "feast" of fun
Bright bonfires lit, mimicked the sun
Where man and woman became one
Conceiving sons, conceiving sons
Now, the Sun of Righteousness shines
I reclaim what's lost, what is mine
Reawakened... soul realigned
My heart consigned, my heart consigned
